DESCRIPTION
With quarter faring and under-cowl, Speedometer and tachometer pod, Along with temperature gauge, ignition switch incorporating steering lock
Turn signal switch, headlight switch, dimmer switch, neutral indicator, horn, rear footrests, fuel valve, helmet holder.
EXTERNAL
Finished in Yamaha 80’s Candy Blue with Grey decals, One of only three colours these models were ever produced in, The plastics and decals present well along with the switches, lights and controls all working perfectly
The petrol tank has a lovely glossy shine and the original frame presents as Yamaha intended. The seat has no rips and the bikini faring and front screen have none of the usual stress fractures

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
With being a UK 12A restricted bike, this liquid-cooled 123cc single-cylinder power unit delivers 12.2bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.68 ft lbs at 7000rpm and will carry on up to 70mph
The engine presents in very good order maintaining originality with only 'nos' parts being used to preserve this fine example
With having a close-ratio six speed gearbox operated via a smooth remote linkage offers fast and precise gear changes
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The RD125LC is fitted with the same stylish cast-alloy ‘italic’ black and silver wheels as can be found on the bigger models such as the RD250LC and RD350LC and present in very good condition
2.75–18 front and 3.00-18 rear Metzeller tyres are fitted having covered very little miles since being fitted
Hydraulic front disc brake and dustproof-waterproof rear drum brake combine to provide confident, controlled braking in all weather conditions.
HISTORY FILE
The Yamaha RD 125LC was a motorcycle relaunched in 1982 as a new model and continued production until 1987
The new models were fitted with a two-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with a smaller displacement than its predecessor
This particular motorcycle was first registered within the UK on 26th May 1983, With the original exhaust chosen at factory build which remains with the bike today and presents in very good condition along with entire bike
With a cantilever mono shock swing arm and Italian wheels this bike was the one to have in the eighties a true classic and loved by the many with such few still in existence this has to be on the dream list of any Yamaha fanatic.
