DESCRIPTION

The 1977 Mk1 Ford Granada 3.0 V6 was one of Ford’s flagship executive cars of the 1970s, designed to offer comfort, presence, and performance at an accessible price. Launched in 1972, the Granada replaced the Zephyr and quickly became a popular choice for professionals, company directors, and, famously, the “grandad” market thanks to its smooth ride and refined character

Today, surviving low-mileage examples are increasingly rare, as many were used extensively in period. Well-preserved cars are now appreciated as true classics, representing a time when Ford blended practicality with executive luxury in a uniquely British way

EXTERNAL

The paintwork from front to rear retains a deep, consistent shine, reflecting careful ownership and preservation, while the panel fitment throughout is of a very high standard, with straight lines and excellent alignment across the body.

All original glazing remains in place, a testament to the car’s authenticity, and the chrome work from front to rear sitting in very good condition, including the door handles and window trims which are all bright and free from tarnishing. At the front, the black slatted grille stands proudly, displaying the Ford lettering as it should, flanked by front over riders mounted to the bumper and complemented by front fog lights, all of which sit in excellent order.

The badging to the front, sides, and rear presents exactly as it should, crisp and correctly positioned, completing a car that not only looks right but has clearly been maintained with a strong emphasis on originality and detail. This Granada Estate is a fine representation of Ford’s flagship model of the era, combining practicality with understated luxury in a way that remains highly appealing today
