EXTERNAL

Finished in beautiful Toyota Black Pearl (paint code 202), this 2004 example presents beautifully with body panels front to rear beaming, vibrant and glossy . The bodywork is straight and true, with uniform panel gaps and a superb gloss finish throughout. With a colour coded wrap around front bumper housing fog lights to both lower front corners chip and crack free, With a honey combed lower grill free from any stone damage, Headlamps remain tarnish free. The black convertible soft top remains taut and clean along with a heated glass rear screen, Operating the soft top simply 2 clips and a push button and it stows away neatly. Original badging front and rear remains bright and crisp along with correct positioning , Colour coded door handles and electrically operated heated door mirrors all remain in excellent condition, A testament to the very low ownership

INTERNAL

Upon opening the drivers or passenger side door instantly you notice the interiors showing virtually no signs of wear, consistent with the ultra-low mileage. The black leather with silver stitching hugging style sports seats remain firm and supportive, with no creasing or damage. The leather-trimmed three spoke steering wheel with black stitching and gear knob present with only very minimal wear if any, Unmarked black interior carpet remains fresh and wear free thanks to genuine factory fit overmats being fitted

Black and silver themed door cards present unmarked as you would expect incorporating the silver trimmed pull handle, Sound system speaker and tweeter plus door pocket, Door armrest displays no wear mark and tarnish free

The black dash remain original and unmarked, Glove Box sitting to the passenger side along with the passenger side airbag positioned on top, Square directional adjustable heater vent sits neatly to the left, Centre stage a push button cubby holes situated on the top of the dash with twin square directional air ducts tucked underneath along with the push button hazard warning switch

Moving further down you have a digital time clock and rotary heater control for fan speed, temperature and heating ventilation direction, With the push button for the heated rear windscreen also present, Factory fit Toyota 58806 cd/radio sound system working very well!

Pull out cup holders and to compliment unused cigarette lighter and ashtray! 

Drivers binnacle houses a three circular pod display with silver over black icons, Speedometer sits to the left and displays 9301-miles with the tachometer centre stage, Fuel and temperature gauge along with manufacture warning lights symbols to the right all extinguish as per factory recommendations further to the right you will find the electrically operated door mirror switch, dash rotary dimmer, front fog light switch and door lock-unlock button

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Powered by Toyota’s 1.8-litre 16v 138bhp VVT-i inline-four cylinder petrol engine, performance is smooth and responsive throughout the rev range. With just over 9300 miles covered from new, the engine is barely run-in and performs faultlessly. Mated to a precise 5-speed manual gearbox, gear changes are crisp and direct, making for a genuinely engaging drive. The mid-engine layout offers excellent balance, while the exhaust note remains sporty without being intrusive.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

Fitted with its original 15-inch five spoke alloy wheels all in excellent condition along with the original Toyota emblem centre caps. Bridgestone tyres  215/45/R16 show good tread depth all round, Having caliper discs brakes (ventilated) to the front 255mm and larger 262mm caliper brakes to the rear this ensures this little pocket rocket oozes  great confident and progressive stopping power thanks to ABS braking assistance. The car handles with the tautness expected of a mid-engined roadster

Supplied new by Listers Toyota Lincoln and registered on the 27th May 2004 locally to Mr Tunstall who retained until December 2024 when a Mr Harding took over the keys, With circumstances changing and a family vehicle required the time to sell came about and Mr Harding wanted the MR2 to go to a good home knowing JF CLASSIC CARS we obliged,  this MR2 Roadster has had just one former keeper. It comes with a full stamped Toyota service history, all stamped in the original service booklet, and supported by a collection of historic service invoices documenting maintenance over the years. The original v5 document has been retained along with the current issue ensuring all credentials are retained
