DESCRIPTION
Rare can sometimes be used to easily however in this case ‘Rare’ means just that. An iconic motorcycle classed as the first Superbike of its time along with being the first motorcycle to have a Disc brake, Honda utilised a ‘sandcast’ engine mould to keep production costs down hence the name
Honda did not know if it would be a hit model, It soon became apparent it was and still today a very sought after motorcycle.
EXTERNAL
Finished in the legendary Honda Blue-Green glossy paintwork finished to a very high original standard, With a tubular steel duplex cradle with non adjustable front forks. Along with preload adjustable rear shocks and swingarm
With correct period features and fittings along with the chrome work gleaming from the four into one branch exhaust to the rear view mirrors, Originality has been maintained from factory with the original Sandcast mould engine 1003569 along with matching frame number
All switchgear remains original being mark and fade free, With an electric start push button and manual kick start options something which was a first back in the late sixties
The large padded black leather twin seat sits tall and in beautiful condition, Simply as good as the day it left the factory, This particular example has covered less than 2 miles, Upon having its fist MOT back in 2012 the mileage shown on DVLA records was 0, Subsequently at another MOT test in 2014 the mileage has been recorded as 1 and today presents just showing 2 miles 10 years later. .

Having period chrome wire wheels front and rear in the very best of condition, Shod with a Dunlop Gold Seal F4 3.25H19 tyre to the front which also has a single solid disc calliper brake
Drum brake fitted to the rear wheel where you will also find a Dunlop Gold Seal k87 4.00H18 fitted, Both tyres are as new with ample tread.
HISTORY FILE
This particular model was first registered on the 1st June 1969 in America making this an early production model, The motorcycle subsequently brought over to the UK and registered on the 1st June 2012 where it has been with its one and only keeper ever since enduring a full in-depth restoration using NOS parts where applicable
