DESCRIPTION

The Jaguar XJ-S (later styled as XJS) first introduced in 1975 as the spiritual successor to the E-Type, though more focused on luxury and long-distance driving than outright sports performance. By the early 1980s the XJ-S had evolved significantly, culminating in the introduction of the "HE" (High-Efficiency) version in 1981, designed to improve fuel economy and performance.

EXTERNAL

A time warp example that at nearly forty years old still beams prowess and elegance, The legendary long bonnet along with all panels front to rear are beaming and glossy all unmarked scuff and fade free, Gold pin stripe running down each flank displaying the coach lines beautifully

Full black wrap around bumpers with rubber impact strips to the front and rear with chrome cappings sit tarnish free along with original deep inserted front indicators and rear fog lights all original along with being chip and crack free

Large front grille aperture with chrome horizontal slats houses the iconic 'Jaguar v12' badge

Beige headlining sits tight and crisp along with the rear quarter panels and side panels, Colour coded sun visors for the driver and passenger present without fault along with a chrome surround interior light which sits neatly between the two

A silky smooth Jaguar 5.3-litres 60° V12, naturally aspirated EFi V12 (Lucas Digital Fuel Injection system) petrol engines fitted, SOHC per bank (Single Overhead Camshaft) – 2 valves per cylinder producing a magical 295bhp along with 318-ib-ft of torque,

Having the iconic 'Fireball' combustion chambers which significantly improved fuel economy and ensured a silky smooth power delivery this powerhouse was mated to smooth shifting three speed automatic gearbox(GM TH400) This was a proven and robust automatic gearbox that has been reliably fitted in other top end marques

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

Sitting on original Jaguar silver and grey 5 stud alloy wheels which are in immaculate condition shod with 215/70/VR15 Tyres all displaying ample even tread, Matching spare also in immaculate unused condition

Having been removed, inspected and overhauled the 4-piston front brake calipers and 286mm front vented brake discs perform as they should along with the rear 2-piston calipers housing 279mm in board solid discs which has also been subject to a full inspection and overhaul, Integrated hand brake performs without fault

Having vacuum servo-assisted over a shared single circuit ensures at all times your brought to a controlled steady stop

HISTORY FILE

First registered on the 1st August 1986 to a Mr Dickinson of Derby supplied by Jaguar main dealer Paramount Jaguar ltd Derby, Mr Dickinson retained the vehicle until 1992, Mr Collingwood took over ownership who ran it for approximately 2 years until 1994 and then decided through ill health to put the vehicle into heated storage, Not being able to part with the vehicle and health deteriorating the keys were handed to his son in 2015 also at the same address who registered the vehicle in his name but never actually removed the vehicle from it's heated storage and as such remained there for thirty four years, You have technically a 2-owner vehicle albeit two owners from within the same family

Beautifully preserved and subject to heavy detailing underneath along with all running gear on the undercarriage removed, inspected and powder coated anything requiring replacing has been ensuring originality remains, Underside looks better than when it left the factory, Engine has been subject to a little detailing, Other work carried out includes new plugs x12 anybody who knows will know thats a job in itself! Fuel system flushed through along with new fuel filter and fuel tank, Nothing has been left the vehicle runs as smooth as silk starting on the button,
