EXTERNAL

With the legendary flared arch body shell in white donning the Mexico livery which simply looks stunning, Minimal body fixings only to be expected simply because time and speed are the only two matters of interest with a vehicle like this

This has one purpose and one purpose only to get from point 'A' to 'B' as quickly as possible, Timing beam bracket located on the Near side front for time trials..Race specification Towing eye to the Off side front.

Lucas Circular H4 headlamps fitted along with an all black frontal face grill..Bonnet housing race certified locking pins along with the race regulation removeable (red key) engine kill switch fitted to the nearside scuttle panel

Mexico livery front to rear sitting beautifully over the glossy Ford White vibrant paintwork, FoMoCo glazing complements all round with original chrome door handles to the drivers and passenger side doors

Ford lettering remains in place on the bonnet and boot 

Boot houses race pedigree spring loaded snap locks, Within the boot its minimal but crisp housing an all steel petrol tank with filler tube along with steel braided fuel pipes which run to an electric fuel pump housed on the off side, To the near side the battery's housed in a metal safety box secured to the boot floor ensuring safety remains paramount

INTERNAL

With any track or event vehicle virtually everything's removed from the interior

Housing a competition roll cage with previous scrutineers stickers attached ensuring it complies with rules and regulations

Race specification bolted to the floor drivers and passenger black bucket race seat with three point quick release harness fitted

Original black topped dashboard remains also carries on the minimalistic theme but houses all you need with a six pod dial set including Tachometer, Speedometer, Temperature gauge, Battery voltage, Fuel gauge and Oil temperature gauge all working as intended

All original switchgear removed and a simple row of flick toggle switches are in situ with a push button engine start and flick engine kill switch

Deep embossed 3-spoke leather steering wheel showing little signs of wear

Rocker gear springs replaced with spacers, H/D rocker shaft, Lightened rocker arms, Cylinder head by Vulcan Engineering Stage 3, Piper double valve springs, Piper Collets, Steel duplex timing gear, Steel rocker posts, High pressure oil pump, Burton uprated con rod bolts, Vandervell uprated shells in the big ends and mains

Mated to twin 40 DCOE Webber Carburetors

4-Speed close ratio gearbox

Dynod and showing 109.2bhp with a top speed of over 110mph

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Having alloy deep dish 4 spoke wheels fitted with 205/60/r13 tyres all round with ample tread

Vented disc calliper brakes to the front and solid disc calliper brakes to the rear with diagonally split vacuum assisted twin pot master cylinders ensuring maximum braking at all times.

First registered on the 16th January 1974 as per the log book (escort mexico) Having been subject to a complete overhaul ensuring the vehicle meets qualifying sprint/hill climbing standards

Having been used in various events as per the scrutineers stickers on the roll cage and with the RAC COMPETITION CAR LOG BOOK being present(may need renewing) clearly having the engine tweaked for maximum performance only points to one conclusion a vehicle that's to be used in motorsport or to be used for track days of your choice
